While Messiah Village has a rich legacy of using and appreciating music in clinical and social settings, The program marks a considerable turning point in our therapeutic approaches. This formalized adult music therapy program takes music beyond art form and entertainment and helps residents creatively express their memories and feelings.
Enhanced Living Memory Support
This program is licensed as Personal Care and is especially designed for individuals with dementia and other types of cognitive and memory impairment. It provides a secure environment including more assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing and grooming, housekeeping, personal laundry service, and medication monitoring. Verbal cueing, redirection, and behavioral intervention are also provided. Memory Support in Enhanced Living offers a comprehensive activity program to promote spiritual, emotional, and physical wellness.
Messiah Lifeways Adult Day
This service offers an enriching, uplifting experience outside of the home for loved ones who are unable to safely stay alone during the day due to cognitive impairment and memory loss. Messiah Lifeways offers Adult Day services in Mechanicsburg. It’s a cost-effective alternative that offers great balance for caregivers who want their loved ones staying home with them, yet still work or have other responsibilities during the day. Adult Day team members are nursing and activity professionals trained in providing personal assistance, therapeutic programs, medication administration, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and first aid.
