Messiah Lifeways Adult Day program, a day program full of activities for adults, offers an enriching, uplifting experience outside of the home for loved ones who are unable to safely stay alone during the day. Messiah Lifeways offers Adult Day services in Mechanicsburg. Senior day programs such as Messiah’s Adult Day is a great alternative and offers balance for adult caregivers who want their loved ones staying home with them, yet still work or have other responsibilities during the day.

“When my husband brought mom home after her first day at Adult Day, I ran to meet them. She was beaming, carrying a wrapped pumpkin roll that she helped make that day. You see, mom loves to bake. I do not. She had been having trouble following my favorite, familiar cookie recipe and I had stopped asking for them until I could figure out how to help her make them without it being stressful for me due to my lack of culinary skills.
Around the same time, an At Home team member and mom were spending a few hours together each week and would occasionally prepare a food item. One day, the team member asked me if there was anything I would like her and my mom to bake. Mom happily got to make her familiar recipe with much success and pride while I got my favorite soft ginger snaps!
When mom’s schedule was changing to increase the number of days each week she would attend Adult Day, this team member continued to accommodate us and even rearranged her own schedule, just to be with mom. The love and friendship they share is fascinating to watch grow as they continue to discover more about each other. They have so much in common, and there is no doubt they were meant to be in our lives for this part of mom’s journey.”

Enrichment and Activity
Our Adult Day program offers enriching and uplifting activity and opportunities such as:
- Exercising and stretching
- Music therapy
- Games, cooking, gardening, and pet visits
- Bible studies and discussion groups
- Music entertainment and singing
- Well-balanced and nutritious meals
Caregiving Support
We’ve talked with many people who have had to make the same decisions that you are now making. Many have expressed their fears, guilt, confusion and sorrow. We understand your need to feel confident about this decision. We realize that the decision to enroll your loved one in an Adult Day program may be difficult. Therefore, we recommend that you visit us and talk to our team members. Also consult your doctor, pastor, and friends.
We will do all we can to assist you and your family to make the best choice. You are also welcome to visit and tour Adult Day any time we are open. Financial assistance may be available for those who qualify. To schedule an appointment or for more information:
Care and Support
Adult Day team members are nursing and activity professionals trained in providing personal assistance, therapeutic programs, medication administration, CPR, and first aid. Additional support services offered:
- Beauty Salon
- Psychological Services
- Outpatient rehabilitation services, such as physical, occupational, and speech therapies
- Podiatry services

Messiah Lifeways Adult Day offers an enriching, uplifting experience outside of the home for loved ones who are unable to safely stay alone during the day. We’re open Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm in order to accommodate you and your loved one’s schedules.

Daily Rate $86
Adult Day clients may attend the program anywhere from 2-5 days a week.
No they do not but there is a minimum attendance of 2 days a week. This helps create structure and routine for your loved one.
Anyone age 60 and better is eligible to use the program.
Rabbit Transit provides transportation in the Mechanicsburg Area and stops at the Messiah Lifeways at Messiah Village campus. For additional information on Rabbit Transit, call 1.800.632.9063.

First, you should schedule an appointment to visit to learn more about the program. During your visit, team members can explain the enrollment process. To enroll, a care assessment must be performed by an Adult Day team member, and a medical evaluation form must be completed by a physician.
