Planned Water Outage – June 14, 2016

Another planned water outage is tentatively “on tap” for Tuesday, June 14 during normal business hours. Contractors will be tying in to the new water meter vault and tying into a new fire hydrant.  We expect the same areas of campus and the Village Center to be without water service, as in the May 3 outage. Cottages 519, 521, 523, and 525 may also lose water service. We are estimating that it will be a full 8-hour shutdown again, as it was previously.

Given our past success with the workaround on water supply, we are making provisions, but are cautiously optimistic that the day will proceed smoothly.

• Campus Services will set up the backflow which should maintain water supply as it did in May
• Extra water supplies will be available if needed
• Emergency Management Team will be on standby should a need arise

We encourage limited water usage during this outage. We will notify everyone via overhead page in the Village Center and using slides on channel 78 when the water is fully restored. Thank you in advance for your patience.
