Les and Debbie Kissinger: Expressing Their Faith Through Giving

For Les and Debbie Kissinger, giving has always been a way of life and a key expression of their faith and trust in God. Though Debbie actually credits Les for being the financially disciplined one, both of their hearts are certainly oriented around a shared value of generosity.

“It feels good to help others—that’s where the joy and love come from,” Les declares with exuberance.

Demonstrating gratitude to the Lord through generosity to others has been a lifelong commitment and something they have taught their own children and grandchildren. According to Les, they have been very blessed and, therefore, are compelled to give back.

While the act of giving has never been in question for them, where to give can often be the challenge because Les and Debbie recognize that “so many organizations are doing worthwhile work.”

Their top priority is always their local parish, but they have also prioritized giving to a handful of other organizations that reflect their values. Because the power of community and care is a high value for them, making Messiah Lifeways a giving priority was an easy decision.

The Power of Community and Care

The Kissingers have been faithful financial supporters of Messiah Lifeways since moving into their Village Square apartment in 2018 at which time the Kissingers set up monthly auto withdrawals as a show of support and investment in their new community.

Debbie shares, “We believe in the work Messiah Lifeways is doing. By making a recurring monthly gift, we feel we are directly contributing to the well-being of our community.”

Their vantage point as residents give them a strong sense of trust that the funds they contribute each month are being stewarded wisely. They can visibly see how people are impacted by the benefits of the ministry of Messiah Lifeways. Debbie’s mother is a resident in one of the healthcare neighborhoods. Debbie also volunteers as a Eucharistic Minister through their parish, so she has a front-row seat to the quality of care residents receive here and the impact that has on their well-being and their families’ peace of mind.

“If you feel you’ve been blessed, this is a worthwhile cause, and we witness it every day,” says Les. Debbie adds, “It’s important that this ministry is around for another 100 years, so our giving here is also a gift to our kids and future generations.”

Join the Kissingers and other supporters of Messiah Lifeways in making a difference every month!

Monthly giving is a simple yet impactful way to ensure that the essential services we provide continue without interruption. It’s a sustainable way to show your support, and it allows us to plan our efforts more effectively.

We warmly invite you to consider a recurring monthly gift. Your support will not only provide immediate assistance to our community, but also pave the way for future generations to come.

Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a significant difference. Thank you for your continued support and belief in our mission.
