The pieces started to come together for Messiah Lifeways on Giving Tuesday. On Tuesday, November 23 the Messiah Village community kicked off the year-end giving campaign with a Giving Tuesday Celebration. The theme for this year’s appeal is “You are a piece of the Messiah Lifeways Puzzle,” highlighting that there are many individual pieces that come together to put together the beautiful Messiah Lifeways Community.
Residents, team members, volunteers and community friends dropped in throughout the day to celebrate the year-round contributions of time, talent and treasure to share Christ-like love on this campus. With two pop-up giving stations—one in Village Square and one in Village Commons—nearly $20,000 was the one day total raised for the Current Year Benevolence Fund.
The donations were led by a very generous gift from the Messiah Village Auxiliary committee who gifted $10,000 from their funds. The Messiah Village Auxiliary raises money throughout the year through activities like its annual quilt sale, clothing sales, Katie’s Gift Shop in Village Center, and Paxton Street Gift Shop in Village Commons.
The Current Year End Giving Campaign has a goal of raising $100,000 by December 31, 2023 to benefit the Current Year Benevolent Fund.
