Nursing Care -- Village Center

Messiah Lifeways, along with thousands of other long term care facilities, are participating in a program with the Centers for Disease Control and CVS Health to most efficiently distribute the COVID-19 vaccines to Messiah Lifeways team members and nursing care residents free of charge as they are available.  The first dose of the vaccination for nursing care residents was administered on January 2, 2021. The second dose was administered on January 23, 2021, with over 90%.

Enhanced Living -- Village Center

We are partnering with our in-house pharmacy (Care Options RX) to help us most efficiently distribute the first doses of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccines to Enhanced Living residents. We are very glad to report that the Enhanced Living vaccination clinic on Wednesday,  January 20 was successful with over 95% of residents vaccinated! The clinic for EL residents to receive the 2nd dose is scheduled for February 17.

Residential Living (Independent) -- Village Commons, Village Square, and Cottages

We are partnering with our in-house pharmacy (Care Options RX) to help us most efficiently distribute the first doses of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccines to Residential Living residents. The first clinic took place on Saturday, February 6. Approximately 82% of RL residents have been vaccinated to date.

3/2 Update:  Due to circumstances beyond our control, Care Options Rx must postpone the COVID-19 vaccine clinic originally scheduled for Saturday, March 6. At the current time, doses of the vaccine have not yet been distributed to Care Options Rx by the State as anticipated. The newly scheduled vaccine clinic date is March 20, which is still within the efficacy window for the booster. Residents were given additional information regarding this change in a handout dated March 2, 2021.
